Grade 3s visit the HCET vegetable garden
Grade 3 learners during an educational visit to the HCET vegetable garden, managed by Charles Gavaza. Besides providing the Trust and the surrounding community with fresh produce, the garden is used to teach learners about food security and nutrition, and the value of growing one’s own vegetables.
Heritage Day 2025
As previously, the HCET celebrated Heritage Day 2025 in grand style, with staff and learners alike dressing up in colourful costumes, and taking part in singing and dancing.

Umthombo Wolwazi choir excels in national championships
The Umthombo Wolwazi choir has done the Hantam Trust proud by excelling in the nationals of the South African Schools Choral Eisteddfod held in Randburg, Johannesburg, from 1 to 4 July 2025.
