Northern Cape Provincial athletics meeting

The Northern Cape Provincial Athletics meeting was held in Upington on 1 and 2 March. Three of our athletes did well enough in Prieska to compete. They were driven by Steytler Sifuba and accompanied by teacher Cat Cronje, and they all spent the night at a B&B in Upington. The excursion was funded by the Trust.

Liyema Goliath (Grade 5) came third in the Under 11 distance race over 1 200 metres, Aqhama Martiens (Grade 9) came second in the long jump for his age group, and Anesipho Fax (Grade 9) came fourth in the shot put for her age group. We are very proud of our learners who acquitted themselves so well against stiff competition.
