HANNELIEZE PERRIES, the top HCET hospitality student for 2015, has won a bursary enabling her to attend a Chef’s course at the Steyn’s Culinary School in Pretoria. The bursary is jointly funded by the HCET and Steyn’s Culinary School. The course last for six months, and is due to end in November 2016. From December onwards, Hannelieze is due to complete a six month practical training period at Fancourt Hotel in Knysna, which will provide her with accommodation and a basic salary. She is due to qualify as a chef in 2017.
