In May 2015, Ivan Buregoo, an HCET graduate, completed a one-year tracker course at the SA College for Tourism Tracker Academy in Graaff-Reinet. He came top in his class, and won the trophy for Tracker of the Year. The Trust helped him to compile a CV and find employment. He has since been employed as a game tracker at the prestigious Kwandwe Private Game Reserve in the Grahamstown district. Ivan grew up on the farm Weltevreden in the Hantam district, completed Grade 9 at the Umthombo Wolwazi Intermediate School, and went on to matriculate at the Colesberg High School, where the HCET paid his boarding expenses.
