IN JULY, Hospitality School graduates received their City & Guilds and Steyn’s Culinary School certificates at a graduation ceremony held at the Plattelander Restaurant in Colesberg.
The ceremony was attended by ten students accompanied by their parents, guardian parents, or two other family members. This was a very special occasion, and the graduates saved money to dress up smartly for the evening.
The ceremony was also attended by Lesley Osler, Clare Barnes-Webb and Estelle Jacobs from the HCET; friends of the HCET; Mathilda Steynberg, facilitator of the Youth Development Programme; and Maritha Steyn, assessor and representative of City & Guilds United Kingdom), who handed out the certificates.
Ten graduates received Steyn’s Culinary School and City & Guilds certificates. Four students received Merit Certificates for Best in Housekeeping, Best in Cooking and Best in Reception; and one student received a certificate for showing the most perseverance.
Graduates, parents, and others who attended then enjoyed an excellent three-course meal. Well done and congratulations, graduates !
